The Greene County Annual Report to the Community, held on April 22, was a tremendous success as we came together to celebrate the accomplishments, partnerships, and people that continue to move Greene County forward.
The Greene County Department of Development highlighted major accomplishments from 2025, including the administration of critical grant programs supporting housing rehabilitation, lead-safe initiatives, brownfield remediation, demolition projects, infrastructure improvements, business retention, and continued progress toward the County’s “One-Stop Shop” permitting process overhaul. Looking ahead to 2026, the Department shared plans to continue expanding grant opportunities, strengthen workforce and economic development partnerships, advance the Greene Regional Business Park, and further invest in local businesses and communities through strategic programs and initiatives.
Many thanks to David Deskins and the staff and students at Greene County Career Center for hosting the event and assisting with event planning, catering, program design, and much more.
We also extend our appreciation to 88th Air Base Wing Commander Colonel Dustin Richards and Chief Master Sergeant Tessa Fontaine for providing an update on the incredible work and impact of Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, and to Micah North, President and CEO of Resonant Sciences, for showcasing the cutting-edge research, innovation, and technological development happening right here in Greene County.
