An important reminder during Safe Kids Month and ALWAYS!

This year, 5 children have died in hot cars nationwide, with 3 incidents reported in the past two days, a tragic reminder that we can all take steps to help prevent hot car deaths. It only takes a few minutes for a car to heat up and become deadly to a child inside. As summer temperatures rise, more kids are at risk. It's never OK to leave a child alone in a car, not even for a minute, and not even with the window cracked or the car running. Emilia Fisher, a student at Fairborn Middle School, created this picture and brings our series of Child Abuse Prevention Art Contest winners to a close. We love the subtle depiction of the four seasons within the same scene and the lovely image of the adult and child staying connected through the year. We LOVE this creative take on our "Keeping Kids Safe All Year Long" art contest theme! This picture was created by Tauren Fisher, a student at Fairborn Intermediate School. Tauren, along with the other 11 winners, was selected from a total of 97 entries as a winner ... congratulations!
