Xenia Probation

Xenia Probation The office is closed daily from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. for lunch. Another valuable addition to the Probation Department is the “community service” program.

The Xenia Municipal Probation Department is responsible for individuals that the Court has placed on probation. These individuals typically have been convicted for drug/alcohol offenses, domestic violence, assault, and/or theft offenses. The Probation Officers monitor probationers for compliance with the law, completion of drug/alcohol treatment, batterers’ education, anger management, theft educa

tion, and any other requirements as ordered by the Court. EMHA (Electronically Monitored House Arrest) is a tool that can be used by the department for non-violent offenders. SCRAM (Secured Continuous Random Alcohol Monitoring) can also be used for monitoring offenders with alcohol related offenses. Community service may be ordered as part of a court sentence in a case.

The XMC Probation Department was awarded the George Farmer Award at the annual Line Officer Training :

This award is presented to a probation or community corrections officer or team who have performed their assigned duties in an outstanding manner and/or made significant contributions to the respective probation or community corrections profession at the local, regional or state level. The recipient/team may also have brought credit or honor to the profession through participation or involvement in community activities or programs. This is a practitioner award for those field officer actively involved in supervision.
