These are what our mill was made from. Wow !

Logging. huge trees such as these were common in what became southeastern kentucky, southwestern virginia, and west viriginia. these trees had grown here for hundreds of years before the lumber barons of the late 1800s came and cut them all down. The Chestnut tree was hit by a fungus and were all gone by the 1920's.
