Our office will be open from 8-5 (closing for lunch from 12-1) to allow for you to make your payment. We accept cash or checks written to Wythe County VCE.

Junior 4-H Camp Update and Info!!

We finished off the year strong with some awesome SOL hands-on learning based lessons for our in-school programming in April and May!

We can’t wait to be back in the classroom in the fall but in the meantime hope all the students and teachers enjoy the upcoming summer break!

We also had an awesome teen counselor training and teen club meeting this month! Our teen club meetings will pick back up in August! Stay tuned for more information on that soon!

It is not to late to register for Junior 4-H Camp. We are down to our last few spots with 6 girls spots and 9 boy spots. We would love to fill those up by the deadline of May 29th when registration closes!!

Also, don't forget a few things are due for those youth who are already enrolled in camp this week! The next payment of $100 is due May 20th! The 4-H online enrollment (health history form and code of conduct) are due May 20th! Camp Class Sign Ups are due May 26th.

Food preservation methods such as canning, fermentation, dehydration and freezing are great ways to preserve our food so that they last throughout the year! Make sure that you are doing it safely by attending Virginia Cooperative Extension's Food Preservation Conference on August 1st, 2026 at the Wytheville Meeting Center. Pick from over 15 sessions from beginning water bath canning to curing a ham!
