Mount Rogers Community Services mobile clinic will be set up at Open Door June 1st, June 15th, and June 29th.

Open Door is working on creating a youth center! Our goal is to have a free space for youth to come after school and in the summers to connect and build skills through career and training connections.

The concept is to have a "gaming" lounge area with several consoles, board games, and other activities. This will also include space to do homework, free food, as well as brining in local companies to do demonstrations on what their career fields entail.

We are seeking community input during this session to help steer our application for a grant and the overall concept of the youth center.

Our Fast and Fiorini Happy Little 5k was a huge success with this year's turn our approaching 100 runners! We are so grateful to our community who make our mission possible. Your participation in our Happy Little 5k and Brews and Bands Festival RAISED $21,000! This goes such a long way in providing sustainable housing and food resources to our neighbors right here in our local communities.

Open Door Community Action is hiring! We are looking for motivated individuals to join our team as a weatherization field tech. This will include things like insulating homes, replacing water heaters, and other energy retro fit tasks.
