The transfer station will be closed Friday, July 31st due to building repairs. We will be open u till 5pm tomorrow, Thursday, July 30th to help accommodate for the closure. We will reopen at 7am Monday, August 3, 2026.

REFUSE COLLECTION NOTICE

Due to the repairs being made to the transfer station on Friday July 31,2026 the refuse collection in the Town of Wytheville for Friday, July 31, 2026, will be held on Thursday, July 30, 2026. The normal collection scheduled for Thursday, July 30, 2026, will be held on that day.

The Town of Wytheville’s Recycling Center located at 1025 South Third Street will operate as normal for those days.

The Transfer Station will be closed Monday, May 25, 2026 in observance of Memorial Day. We will reopen on Tuesday, May 26th at 7am.

Wythe County Trash & Recycling Centers will be closed on Sunday, April 5 in observance of Easter. The centers will be open on Friday and Saturday.

Regular hours will resume Monday. Plan ahead and enjoy a safe holiday weekend.
