Winning at the Wyomissing 4th of July Parade once is impressive. Winning it twice? That's a tradition.

As part of our "In Wyomissing, Every Generation Has A Story" campaign, we're celebrating a family that has done just that—taking home honors not once, but twice.

Thank you to Alissa for sharing these memories with us, and congratulations on such an incredible accomplishment.

If you haven't registered for this year's Wyomissing 4th of July Parade, there's still time.

Create your own story. Build a float. Decorate a vehicle. Gather your family, friends, neighbors, organization... and become part of a tradition that has brought our community together for generations.

What if making Wyomissing a little cleaner only took an hour of your time?

That's the idea behind The Great American Cleanup.
Join Andrew Jordan, along with our friends from TCO Fly Shop, Crossett Cleaning Co., and the Tulpehocken Chapter of Trout Unlimited, for The Great American Cleanup on Saturday, June 20th.
It's a simple way to give back to a community we all care about.

For more information or to sign up as a volunteer, please contact Andrew Jordan at 845-661-4386 or [email protected].

Together, we can make a big impact—one small act at a time.

Before most of us had our first cup of coffee, the Wyomissing Wahoos were already in the pool.

I had a chance to stop by the Wyomissing Pool early this morning and catch part of the Wyomissing Wahoos practice.

What I saw was focus, determination, and a lot of hard work.
Lap after lap... these athletes were putting in the effort long before most of us had finished our first cup of coffee.

The next time you see the Wahoos competing, remember that success doesn't just happen... it takes practice and hard work.

A clothespin. A baseball card. A bicycle… that’s all it took.

As part of our In Wyomissing, Every Generation Has A Story campaign, Bill Gage shared one of his earliest memories of the 4th of July after moving to Wyomissing in 1961 at the age of 8.

"My friends and I would put red, white and blue ribbon on our bikes and use a clothespin to attach baseball cards to the frame so they would hit the spokes and make a neat motor-type sound. Seems there were at least 50 bikes, if not more, back in those days. It was fun waving to friends and neighbors that we knew.”
The kind of simple moment that becomes part of a community’s story.

In Wyomissing, Every Generation Has A Story… what’s yours?

Share your favorite 4th of July memory with us at [email protected] and help us preserve the stories that have made this celebration such a special part of our community.
