The Wyoming Police Department has received multiple complaints about electric toy vehicles riding in fields causing damage as well as on sidewalks affecting pedestrians.

We would like to remind everyone that e-bikes can only be ridden on paths set for bicycles, but dirt bikes, like the one in the picture are prohibited. These rules are in place to keep everyone safe and protect our parks and roadways.

🚨 SCAM ALERT 🚨

Residents are advised to be cautious of fraudulent notices claiming to be from an Ohio court demanding immediate payment. These documents are NOT legitimate and are designed to pressure individuals into making quick payments through unofficial links or QR codes.

Some common red flags include:
• References to a “Municipal Court of the County of Franklin,” which is not a legitimate court designation
• Generic language referencing multiple unrelated violations
• Urgent phrases such as “FINAL NOTICE” or “IMMEDIATE ACTION REQUIRED”
• Requests for payment through QR codes or unofficial websites
• Lack of clear, verifiable court contact information

Please remember:
• Courts do not issue random payment demands through QR codes or unofficial payment methods.
• Law enforcement agencies will not notify you by text message, email, or letter that you have a warrant.

If you receive a suspicious notice, do not respond or submit payment. Instead, contact your local police department directly using a verified phone number or official website.
