⭐ Six Wyoming High School students have been named National Merit Semifinalists ⭐

➡ These academically-talented students - Rosie Galvin, Joss Hogenesch, Greg Kleinschmidt, Emmeline Kurtz, Rory Ruedisueli, and August Valerius - earned top scores on the 2025 PSAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. Representing less than 1% of US high school seniors, the nationwide pool of semifinalists includes the highest-scoring entrants in each state.

⭐This morning, our Wyoming Primary School students observed the 25th Anniversary of September 11 outside with the Pledge of Allegiance and song. Our fourth graders shared virtues of ordinary heroes with all who joined us.

⭐At Wyoming High School and Wyoming Middle School, in addition to Moments of Silence and curriculum connections, members of our WHS faculty and staff opted to wear black ribbons to mark the day and invited conversations with our students about personal experiences on September 11, 2001.

⭐We remember the innocent lives lost and the incredible bravery of our first responders.

⭐Sixth-grade students have had the opportunity to participate in the Urban Wilderness Program’s Boatbuilding experience, working together to build their own skin-on-frame canoes. Throughout the project, students have practiced measuring, drilling, sanding, lashing, and assembling while seeing how math, science, engineering, and craftsmanship connect to a real-world challenge.

⭐One of the major highlights has been watching students build confidence with tools, collaborate with their classmates, and see their hard work take shape into canoes they will eventually be able to use on the water.
