Today is the day! Come out tonight from 4:30-6:30pm!
It's almost time for our 3rd annual PLANT SWAP!
Monday, May 11th, 4:30-6:30pm. All ages welcome.
This year, it will be bigger and better than ever! If the weather is nice, we'll have an open-house-style event out on the library lawn. If the weather is poor, we will have this event in the library basement.
Lea from Sunflower Boutique by Lea Faye will share her best houseplant advice at 6pm!
Plant Swap- We will accept houseplants, flowers, veggies, shrubs, etc. Cuttings are also welcome. No invasives please! If you won’t be able to make it the day of the plant swap, plant donations will be accepted May 8th-11th during normal library hours. All plants for this event are free and availability is based on what is donated. If you have any questions, please email [email protected] or call the library and leave a message for Emily.
Activities- There will be a potting station for potting up cuttings or starting your own sunflowers or pumpkins from seed. We will also have crafts available to suit young gardeners and adults. There will also have a prize drawing!
Garden Club- The library would like to start a small pollinator garden this year. We are currently waiting to begin the garden until some ground work is complete, but once we are ready, we will start a garden club. The garden club will be open to all ages, though children MUST have an adult attendant. The garden club will be responsible for planting, maintaining, and caring for the pollinator garden. Club meetings will be about every two weeks and will include activities such as watering, weeding, and learning about pollinator plants. Stop by the plant swap to learn more and maybe join the club!
