Wynne Public Schools Implements New Safety Measure for Sporting Events

Wynne Public Schools has introduced a new policy requiring all students in grades 6-12 to present valid identification when entering school-hosted sporting events to enhance student safety and supervision. This measure applies to both Wynne students and those from other districts.

This approach prioritizes student welfare and reinforces the importance of responsible adult supervision at school events. Students who do not have an ID cannot enter without an adult. Student supervision will be the responsibility of the adult attending the event with the student.

Valid forms of ID include a driver's license or school-issued ID.

These reminders will help ensure a smooth drop-off and pick-up experience at our Temporary High School campus:

Main Entrance Only: Use the main entrance off Falls Blvd. for student drop-off and pick-up. Please don't use the back entrance off of Lemons.

Gate Closure: The gate closes at 8:00 AM, along with barriers to block through access. Arrive before 7:55 AM or park in the lot if you're late, and have your child check in at the office.

Utilize All Lanes: Use all three lanes for drop-off and pick-up to keep traffic moving efficiently.

Designated Areas: Drop off and pick up your child at the designated corner where staff are stationed. Avoid stopping in front of the gym at the crosswalk, as this disrupts traffic flow.

IMPORTANT!!!
No Left Turns: Do not turn left when exiting onto Falls Blvd, as this is clearly marked and can cause significant delays.

Following these guidelines will help minimize stress and keep the process running smoothly. Thanks for your cooperation!
