Even before the ambush of police officers in Dallas and Baton Rouge, Wylie area citizens backed the local Blue with gifts of baked goods, gift cards and other demonstrations of support. To express our gratitude for the outpouring of support from the community, the Wylie Police Department is planning a celebration, Blue Gives Back, Sat., Aug. 20, 11 am to 2 pm, Olde City Park in historic downtown Wylie.

The free event includes three water slides, drinks, cotton candy, snow cones and popcorn. Please come out and join us for fun and fellowship. Tell your friends and family.
