Copies from the Bridge Connection page:

Good morning! As we lead up to our 9th annual Bridge Christmas Outreach this Friday there are still some very significant needs YOU can help with.
1. Please be praying!
2. Sign up to volunteer! It's not too late and we still need about 15-20 adult and kids family guides as well as other positions.
3. Finances-please make a tax deductible donation at www.TheBridgeConnection.org now. We still have guests to fill in gifts for as well as supplies to buy and donations have been way down this whole year.
4. Drop off gift boxes, bags, tissue paper and gift wrap supplies to 401A Birmingham this week. Call 9724555541 to make arrangements if needed.
5. Adopt an adult wish list from one of our tree locations.
Thank YOU for taking the time right now to get involved and make a commitment.

This year, Fostering Hope is taking a break and we are bringing in their resources and guests through our annual Bridge Christmas Outreach. We have 36 new locations to put Wish List trees up in this year and unfortunately all of Fostering Hope's trees got ruined in Hailmeggedon 2016. There is a great sale on new pre-lit trees right now. If you would consider making a $60 tax deductible donation at www.TheBridgeConnection.org you could provide a tree and keep our budget intact for more guest gifts.

Corey was able to come home yesterday evening and is very glad to be home! His vocal skills are improving and he is going to be doing outpatient therapy during the week. Still shaky on his feet and lots of headaches and pain but hopefully being home will be more comfortable and allow everyone to get more rest. Continued prayers for complete healing in God's time and patience! Thank you all for everything!

Sunday Corey had lots of friends visit. He was cracking his friends up because right now Corey doesn't have a filter. He says some bad words, he talks very loud and monotone but he is able to have conversations which is amazing! Today I (oldest sister) saw him in FaceTime and he said "Hi". It was so exciting-I was only able to be at the hospital a little last Monday and haven't been able to physically see his improvements. He is still getting around well but he only is able to walk speedy fast. His brain isn't regulating things like this correctly yet. He is still in a lot of pain and gets aggravated easily. His mouth isn't working when he tries to eat and this has frustrated him enough to throw food...several times. Today his body hurt all over and his head really bothered him. Tomorrow we are getting more information on transferring to a Childrens hospital but there are waiting lists. We are so proud of how Corey is doing and every improvement! Thank you friends and family for your sontinued support and prayers. We have had meals brought over every night and this has been such a help for grandma, sister Jody, or dad with the kids in the evenings. If you would like to sign up for a meal you can through this platform: https://m.signupgenius.com/ #!/showSignUp/20f094da4a922a20-dupuis.

On Sunday, October 2 Corey Dupuis (my younger brother) was involved in an accident while riding a 4 wheeler. He was transported by ambulance to the Plano Medical Center Neuro ICU. He was immediately intubated and put on a ventilator and after several scans it was revealed that he had two fractures.....

No change, another slow sleepy day for Corey. The nurses were able to hold him up and shower him but my sister went to visit and said he just stared at her like he didn't recognize her. I think that really shook her up. He had to get back on IV because he isn't drinking or eating much more than a sip or bite before he is exhausted again. He did have several visitors this evening and he said his friends name "James". It's such a small thing that means so much though. Mom spent most of the day at home with her babies and dad is home for the night and off to work tomorrow. Pray for us that we can figure out a more manageable schedule for us all as his recovery is going to be a long, slow, painful process. Also for strength, peace, and for consistent improvements with Corey. It breaks my heart to look at pictures of how he was before and see how is right now but he is alive! And he has so many people who love him and support him and who can't wait to cheer him on at every point. I also ask for prayers and support for the 2 boys who were riding with him, Caden and Elijah. At 14-15 years old they saw him hit the ground, held him while he seized, didn't let go after he passed out, called 911 and saved his life!!! They have been through so much! There were issues today with some boys at school spreading rumors that one of these amazing boys pushed Corey off. It broke their hearts to think anyone would believe that, on top off the grief they already are going through. We know this isn't true and we are eternally grateful for them, their actions, and their families' support! If you missed any of my other updates you can find them in the comments of the original post or on our you caring page which you can sign up to receive updates off of. Thank you all so much!
