Today, we recognize an extraordinary act of courage and compassion. In a moment that would shake even the strongest among us, this remarkable young lady responded with clarity, bravery, and skill beyond her years. When her father suffered a sudden cardiac arrest, she didn’t hesitate, she stepped forward and performed CPR, sustaining him until help arrived from Quint 141 and Medic 141. Because of her quick thinking and selfless action, a life was saved, and a family was given more time together.

This Life Saving Award is a tribute not only to what she did, but to how she is someone who rises in the face of fear and chooses to act. We are deeply proud to honor her today.
