Former Wylie East Assistant Principal Arrested

Wylie, TX, June 4, 2026- On Thursday June 4 th , 2026 at approximately 11:24 am, the Wylie Police Department arrested 32-year-old Zachary Neu of Richardson for Compelling Prostitution Under Age 18.

The arrest was the result of an investigation conducted by the Wylie Police Department Criminal
Investigations Division after receiving a report that Neu, a Wylie East High School Assistant Principal, was communicating inappropriately with a recent 2026 Wylie East graduate. The investigation revealed that during conversation, Neu offered to purchase alcohol for the minor and send money for lingerie in exchange for sexual conduct.

We would like to thank Wylie ISD for their cooperation during this investigation as the safety of our students are the top priority. At this time there are no known additional victims connected to this investigation. However, if you or your student have any concerns regarding interactions with Neu, please contact the Wylie Police Department. Wylie ISD notified parents of Wylie East once it was deemed safe to do so by our agency.

The Wylie Police Department and Wylie ISD take allegations involving student safety and staff misconduct very seriously. These allegations are thoroughly investigated and addressed when they are reported. We encourage parents to speak with their children regarding appropriate communication and conduct with adults and the different avenues to report any interaction that makes them uncomfortable.

🚔 DRIVE SOBER. DON’T DRINK AND DRIVE. 🚔
The Wylie Police Department will be conducting additional DWI enforcement for the Memorial Day weekend.
Driving while intoxicated puts lives at risk and can have lasting consequences for you, your passengers, and others on the roadway. If your plans include alcohol, make a plan for a safe ride home before you go out.
✔️ Designate a sober driver
✔️ Use a rideshare service
✔️ Call a friend or family member
✔️ Stay where you are until sober
Our goal is simple: prevent impaired driving, reduce crashes, and ensure everyone gets home safely.
Make the right choice before you get behind the wheel.
