On Saturday night, members gathered for our annual Awards Dinner to recognize the accomplishments of 2025. 2025 proved to be a big year with a record breaking number of incidents, operational and administrative changes, and more. The following members were recognized:

The Training Award is given to someone whose commitment to advanced certification training separates them from the rest. 2025’s recipient was Hunter Gorski.

The 2025 Chief’s Award was awarded to the Apparatus Committee as a group for their ex*****on of the Rescue 35 Replacement Project. Committee members include Ethan Tecker, Rob Flowers, John Bailey, Dave James, Tim Weber, Duane Smith, Steve Kraiss, and Randy Serwell.

Lastly, we had a unique accomplishment to celebrate this year. On December 21st, 2025, Deputy 35, Engine 35, and Engine 95, responded with Central Bucks Emergency Medical Services and Buckingham Township Police Department to a Buckingham Township residence for a patient in sudden cardiac arrest. Responders arrived with minutes and flawlessly worked side by side to resuscitate the patient who is alive and well today. A big thank you to Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick, Senator Frank Farry, and PA State Rep. Kristin Marcell for joining us to honor our members involved. Honorees include: DC (now AC) John Bailey, FF Duane Smith, BC (now DC) Rob Flowers, FF Dennis Kilfeather, FF Mike Sullivan, FF Mike Squillace, FF Jack Prince, FF Pierson Stallings, and FF Jack Kukulya.

Today 16 members spent their rainy Sunday morning at the West Chester Fire Department Training Center for our first structural burn of the year. Crews worked through a diverse combination of evolutions with an emphasis on fire suppression, search, coordinated ventilation, the incident command system, and more. This was also the first opportunity for members to use the new Rescue 35 at its full capability, as well as our brand new Mercedes 1.75” & 2.5” Hose & Elkhart Brass nozzle complement under live fire conditions. Many thanks to Engine 2 of the Southampton Fire Company No. 1 for covering us while we were away!

Today our 1997 E-One Cyclone Rescue left Station 35 for the final time after nearly 30 years of service. The truck was purchased by the Pearce's Mill Fire Department in North Carolina. We hope it continues to serve their community as well as it did ours for many years to come!

After several months of hard work, the Officers & Members of LFC are proud to announce the new Rescue 35 is fully in service. This truck was purchased after the Company evaluated the cost and build time of brand new custom built fire apparatus. The Company determined buying a used truck to be the best financial and logistical decision for our organization. Not only does this truck provide a significant cost savings, but it also significantly increases our capabilities to better protect the communities we serve.

This truck maintains all rescue capabilities of our previous truck, while also providing us with fire suppression capability. Some equipment highlights of the truck include:
