For Tribal youth looking for summer work experience, especially in the environmental field, the Tar Creek Apprenticeship Program is still taking applications! Gain hands-on paid experience through a culturally-focused environmental apprenticeship program taking place from June 2nd-July 17th in Miami, Oklahoma (with a break the week of July 1st). Apply here.
Applicants must be at least a rising high school senior (class of 2026) and cannot be over the age of 21.

It’s fall and time to get rid of unwanted tires you have collected over the summer.

Wyandotte Nation Environmental Department hosted their 14th Annual Environmental Festival on May 10th. We had 15 booths from, tribal, state and local agencies. A total of 530 students and teachers from Wyandotte Schools attended the event. Eighteen Wyandotte Nation employees worked as volunteers to help with registration, shuttling students from the buses and helped cook the noon meal.

It was a great day!
