Ever wonder how I get ideas on where I get our parks from?? The best answer is easy- I use Google maps. 😂😂 I follow several pages (probably more than several lol) that list fun, low cost things to do with kids, I ask when I see someone mention when they go to a park and it looks interesting, but the biggest thing I do is zone in on one area and look for parks... so far i have over 200 saved! And if i shared the list of places i wanted to go nationwide... well let's just say it's much closer, if not over, 1000! I read reviews, look at pictures, and decide if it'd be worth stopping at if we are ever in the area. We are located 15 minutes south of Detroit and if you didn't know, Michigan is a huge state, taking 12+hours to get from the southeast corner to the tip of the upper peninsula, or furthest western point. But I have made it a point to visit as much of this gorgeous state as possible and that includes visiting parks all over! If you'd like to see what parks I have saved, I am sharing my list. If you know of a park you LOVE that isn't listed, in Michigan or otherwise, I'd love for you to share so I can save it! My ultimate goal is to travel the country with my kids, even if it takes me 20 years to do so, and I'm always looking for the best places to go. Indoors is great, but I REALLY love exploring outside. Mountains, waterfalls, lakes, rock formations, state and national parks.... and of course new playgrounds. :p
Here's a small snippet of what we've done this year. Please share all the pictures of you would like, too!! I'm a visual learner and seeing new places gives me an idea if it's somewhere that would be fun for us. ♥️♥️♥️
