From Police Chief Bill McGrath:

WRENTHAM POLICE IS CURRENTLY HIRING! TWO IMMEDIATE OPENINGS.

The Wrentham Police Department is currently accepting applications for two full-time police officer positions via lateral transfer. Both Civil Service and non-Civil Service officers are welcome to apply.

Applicants must have completed a full-time MPTC approved police academy; be POST certified and currently employed as a full time police officer.

WPD offers a competitive and comprehensive benefits package; a wide array of specialized assignments; and participation in MetroLEC, a regional law enforcement response team.

WPD officers enjoy many extra opportunities, including boat patrols on Lake Pearl, mountain bikes, motorcycle, and UTV.

Most of all, we offer a community who supports us because we support them. One of our most effective recruitment tools are the officers who work here so if you know any, just ask them!

We encourage everyone who is qualified to apply. Bi-lingual a plus. All applicants are welcome!

Send your resume and letter of interest to the Wrentham Police Department, 89 South St., Wrentham MA 02093 or send via email to [email protected].

From Police Chief Bill McGrath:

NEW 495 SB ON-RAMP FROM RT. 1A NORTH IS FINALLY OPEN

The new 495 SOUTH on-ramp is now open. You will see this new ramp on your right as you’re traveling north on Rt. 1A from Plainville toward Wrentham. The old 495 south ramp that used to be on your left is permanently closed. Apple, Waze and Google Maps have been notified to update their software. Thus far, only Apple has done it. PLEASE drive extra slow and use caution as you proceed through this area. The on-going construction and new configurations will take some getting used to. The traffic lights currently in place are temporary and may be confusing. When the project is completed, it will all make sense.
