We had such a fun and festive time at our Christmas party! 🎄

From lots of laughs to creating our very own gingerbread houses, it was a sweet way to celebrate together. Some houses were still standing strong… others may have experienced a little southwest Minnesota wind 😉

We are grateful to share that Southwest Crisis Center has received a $2,000 grant from Federated Rural Electric through their Operation Round-Up program.

These funds will directly support individuals and families in Jackson County, helping provide essential needs such as food, clothing, medication, toiletries, and housing.

We had such a blast hosting a Vibe @ 5 Chamber Mixer with Forward Worthington last week! 🎉 We were so busy networking and chatting that we completely forgot to take more photos ~ always a sign of a great event!

Last week, we partnered with the Lakefield Police Department—thanks to generous funding from the Medica Foundation—to host a Law Enforcement Domestic & Sexual Violence Training in Lakefield.

The training welcomed both new officers and seasoned officers seeking a refresher, all committed to strengthening their response to domestic and sexual violence in our communities.

A heartfelt thank you to our presenter, Kenny Smith (Arkansas Coalition Against Sexual Assault – Law Enforcement Training Director, Arkansas COSAR Program Director, and Co-Founder/Lead Trainer of K Training & Consulting, LLC) for sharing his expertise and delivering an engaging, impactful session.

We’re grateful for the collaboration that continues to happen in our communities.

🎁 Gifts for Older Kids (Tweens & Teens)

Donations can be dropped off at any Southwest Crisis Center office.

We already receive many toys for young children through other community drives. These specific items are requested because they are still very needed but rarely donated.

We’re excited to share that we have community cookbooks available at our Worthington office - free! Donations accepted! ☺️

These cookbooks are filled with recipes contributed by community members, and the variety inside is amazing. They make wonderful gifts for the holidays or for upcoming 2026 bridal showers. ❤️
