Firefighter Holly Getzfeid's funeral will be Saturday September 19, 2026 at 11 am. Agencies wishing to be in the procession, please reach out to Chief Kocher at 347-6379.

As many of you know, the Tenacious Dames lost a sister recently and now we would like to share information about her upcoming services. Holly was an amazing sister who loved having her face in the wind, helping others in need, and raising money for the puppers! So much can be shared about Holly that we would love to hear from you. Please join us in celebrating a beautiful life of Holly. Services are being held in town of Worland, WY.

With great sadness, the family of Holly Getzfried, together with the Worland Volunteer Fire Department, announces her passing at 17:52 hours on September 13, 2026.

Holly was much more than a member of our fire department family. She was a friend, sister, rescuer, and a deeply caring person whose compassion extended to both people and animals. Her dedication to rescuing dogs gave so many animals a second chance, and her love for the firefighter brotherhood and sisterhood created bonds that will never be forgotten.

Holly’s presence, strength, kindness, and unmistakable spirit touched countless lives. Her passing leaves an enormous hole in the hearts of her family, friends, fellow firefighters, and everyone fortunate enough to have known her.

During this incredibly difficult time, we ask that you keep Holly’s family and loved ones in your thoughts and prayers and respect their need for time together to grieve.

Information regarding services and opportunities to honor Holly’s life will be shared when arrangements have been finalized.

Rest easy, Holly. Your watch is complete.
Your brothers and sisters will take it from here.
You will always be part of our family. ❤️‍🔥🐾

09/08/2026 16:17 WFD was called to 3321 Big Horn Ave for a report of a fire alarm activation. No injuries reported.

09/04/2026 12:01 WFD was called to mile marker 24 on Highway 16 for a single vehicle accident, providing mutual aid to Ten Sleep while they were engaged fighting the Cow Camp Fire.

09/03/2026 23:45 WFD was called about 10 miles out on Gooseberry road for a possible fire. No fire was found in that area, people were seeing the Cow Camp Wildland Fire in the distance, no injuries were reported.

08/30/2026 06:25 WFD was called to the area of 1049 Washakie Ten for the report of a power line or transformer on fire. Upon arrival crews found a downed line that started a small fire.
Please remember that you never know if the power line is still live. Several of these pictures show what happens when the live line arcs to the ground.
Please always act as if the line is still energized and stay clear.

08/28/2026 01:31 WFD was called to 1314 Charles for the report of a CO alarm going off. Everyone evacuated, no injuries were reported.

08/26/2026 17:06 WFD was called 7 miles out on West River Road for a report of a single vehicle accident with air bag deployment, no injuries reported.
