Worcester Housing Authority Providing Housing, Building Futures We will treat each resident as if he or she were a member of our family. The Admissions Department is NOT open on Fridays.

The WHA is dedicated to providing its families with an environment that will be a source of pride for its residents and an asset to the community at-large. The WHA will seek out opportunities and develop strategies that will assist both its present and future residents in obtaining the necessary educational, training and employment skills necessary to achieve social and economic self-sufficiency. They will be treated with respect and encouraged to become active participants and partners in our community. In its continuing effort to provide additional affordable housing opportunities to the community, the WHA will actively seek out development opportunities and craft solutions that will serve both the needs of the community and become an asset to the surrounding neighborhoods. Our standard operating hours are 8 am to 4:30 pm weekdays.

As we continue to recognize Breast Cancer Awareness Month, WHA joins communities everywhere in thinking pink and raising awareness about a disease that has touched so many lives. 🩷

🎀 We honor the fighters.
💪 We celebrate the survivors.
🕯️ We remember those we have lost.
🤝 And we stand with the families, friends and caregivers who provide strength, hope and love every step of the way.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month is also an important reminder to take care of ourselves and encourage the people we love to do the same. 💕

DID YOU KNOW?

👨 Men get breast cancer, too. The American Cancer Society estimates that about 2,670 men in the United States will be diagnosed with invasive breast cancer in 2026.

👩 Breast cancer is the most common cancer among American women, except for skin cancer, and approximately 30% of new cancer diagnoses in women in 2026 are expected to be breast cancer.

What a beautiful afternoon at Great Brook Valley Gardens! ☀️🍂

WHA and Public Schools - Worcester, MA came together for a special Neighborhood Walk, bringing principals, wraparound coordinators, WHA staff, including CEO Alex Corrales, and School Committee member into the neighborhood to meet and connect with residents. 🤝❤️

WHA is proud to once again partner with Quinsigamond Community College (QCC) to bring Adult Education ESL and GED/HiSET classes directly to Great Brook Valley!

These classes are FREE and open to all WHA residents, making it easier to build English-language skills or work toward a high school equivalency credential close to home.

Not all abuse leaves physical marks. Domestic violence can also involve controlling behavior, isolation from family and friends, threats, intimidation or controlling someone’s access to money.

This Domestic Violence Awareness Month, let’s remember that everyone deserves to feel safe, respected and supported in their own home. 🏡

• Believe and support those who share their experiences.
• Respect their choices and personal safety.
• Let them know they are not alone.

A healthy workforce is a stronger workforce! WHA’s employee vaccination clinics are one way we’re working to support the health and well-being of our team.

Partnering with a local provider, we recently offered employees vaccinations for flu, COVID-19 and other illnesses.

As a thank-you for participating, employees also received a gift card! 🎁
