To every survivor of domestic violence, abuse, and the experiences that nearly took you from us: We are so happy you’re still here.
Domestic violence is a community issue. In the United States, more than 1 in 3 women and 1 in 6 men have experienced contact sexual violence, physical violence, or stalking by an intimate partner, with related impacts.
This is the experience of our friends, neighbors, coworkers, and family members.
At WCAC, we take these experiences seriously. Survivors should never have to carry the responsibility of preventing violence alone. We need communities that believe survivors, recognize warning signs, provide safe spaces, and hold abusers accountable.
