The year is flying by, and for those who would also like to participate, there is still time to make a difference. Your donation today directly strengthens programs that empower children and adults with disabilities across Massachusetts.

Recently, Molina Healthcare participated in a Teamwork Day at The Bridge Center. Their 40+ team of volunteers transformed spaces that our staff, participants, and volunteers experience every day. We are deeply grateful for the time and care they shared with us, and also for awarding ESMA a $10,000 grant to support our Assistive Technology program.

We love partnering with companies that truly are complementary in our shared desire to improve the lives of those who need it most. Thank you, Molina Healthcare team, for your partnership and for making an immediate and lasting impact.

Meet Neil, one of the gentle giants at the heart of our new Adaptive Carriage Driving program. This Norwegian Fjord gelding, our largest in the herd, once pulled sleighs through Canadian winters. Today, he brings that same strength and steady presence to every interaction, greeting participants with a soft muzzle and a calm, reassuring energy.

Now, Neil is stepping into his newest role: helping pull our wheelchair-accessible adaptive carriage. With his power and patience, he is opening the door for participants of all abilities to experience connection, confidence, and the joy of partnering with horses.

Strong, gentle-spirited, and ready for what is next, Neil is truly one of a kind. Support Neil and help him continue this meaningful work. https://bit.ly/4s637ri

A heartfelt thank‑you to State Senator William “Bill” Driscoll, Jr. (Norfolk & Plymouth District) for championing the Easterseals Massachusetts College Navigator Program. His $200,000 budget amendment, adopted Wednesday by the Senate Ways & Means Committee, strengthens support for college students with disabilities across the Commonwealth.

On the Senate floor, Senator Driscoll highlighted the program’s impact: “This invests $200,000 in Easterseals Massachusetts for its college navigator services… This amendment ensures that students with a unique set of needs receive targeted support. With a 90% success rate... the program ensures students move through their programs faster and transition into the workforce sooner." He added, "This advances fiscal common sense, and this investment furthers our commitment to providing equal access to education.”

We are also grateful to the ten co‑sponsors whose partnership made this possible: Sen. Robyn K. Kennedy (1st Worcester), Sen. Michael D. Brady (2nd Plymouth & Bristol), Sen. Nick Collins (1st Suffolk), Sen. Michael O. Moore (2nd Worcester), Sen. Vanna Howard (1st Middlesex), Sen. Jamie Eldridge (Middlesex & Worcester), Sen. Lydia Edwards (3rd Suffolk), Sen. Patrick M. O’Connor (Plymouth & Norfolk), Sen. Joan B. Lovely (2nd Essex), and Sen. Kelly A. Dooner (3rd Bristol & Plymouth).

Your support helps bring this vital program to more students, improving workforce readiness by strengthening self‑advocacy, time‑management, communication, social skills, and access to essential campus resources. Together, we are helping students thrive in college and transition confidently into the workforce.

Today is Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD) and a great reminder that accessibility impacts us all! When we design a world that is accessible for people with disabilities, everyone benefits. A common example of this is curb cuts, which, by allowing wheelchair users to easily access sidewalks, also help anyone pushing a stroller or pulling anything on wheels. Accessibility is not an extra box to check; it is a requirement!
