If you have been putting off getting a Worcester Public Library card, now is the perfect time! Every card issued during the month of September will result in a $1 donation to the Worcester Animal Rescue League courtesy of the Friends of the Worcester Public Library (up to $1,000). Join us on Saturday, September 19 at 2:30 PM in the Banx Room for Mi Gente Estuvo Aquí También: Beginning Hispanic Genealogy. Mi Gente Estuvo Aquí También is an engaging and practical introduction to Hispanic genealogy designed to help beginners start their family history journey with clarity and confidence. Led by genealogist Irisneri Alicea Flores, this presentation focuses on simplifying the research process while honoring the rich cultural and historical context of Puerto Rican and broader Hispanic ancestry.

They’re on the first floor by the Franklin Street entrance next to the Newspapers & Magazines desk. We’re open from 9:00 am - 5:30 pm today so come on down and get some reading material!
