Hi all! Look out for us at Scot Spirit Day, this Friday from 4:30pm to 7pm in the Scot Center!

We’re looking forward to talking to you and hope to see you at our first meeting of the semester, Tuesday August 29th from 8-9pm in Kauke 035.

Remember that you do not need to identify as a Democrat in order to join our club and attend our events. We simply ask that everyone be mindful and respectful of differing opinions. Our political discussions are meant to be informative, polite, and productive.

Join us this Tuesday to write letters with us! We will be writing non-partisan letters encouraging residents in Texas, Florida, and Pennsylvania to vote during election season with . Voting is one of the main ways you can influence local and national politics and we hope you join us to encourage people to use their power and vote.

Our co-presidents, Austin and Carolyn, got the chance to meet US Senator Sherrod Brown today when he came out to Wayne county to speak to local democratic activists. Senator Brown is excited for Wooster students to get energized to vote in the primaries, and he emphasized that young people really can make a difference by having their voices heard at the polls!

Today was the Ohio primary election. Absolutely zero notice about voting or utility bills was sent out to students, despite promises for more administrative support and outreach this year. Above is the email that College Democrats’ current and incoming executive board sent to college administrators, including President Bolton, Deans Hernández and Bobbitt, and Board of Trustees Chair Sally Staley.

This Thursday at 8PM, College Dems will be writing letters for Vote Forward, a nonpartisan organization that encourages voter turnout and civic engagement! All supplies will be provided at the meeting, just come with a pen and some enthusiasm!
