Temporary Pause on City Electric Aggregation
The City of Wooster, alongside energy consultant Palmer Energy, is temporarily pausing its electric aggregation program. Because current market conditions have driven aggregation pricing above AEP Ohio's standard utility rate (Price to Compare/Standard Service Offer), returning participants to the standard utility rate is the most cost-effective option.
Residents and small businesses do not need to take any action. The City will monitor the energy market and reintroduce the aggregation program when lower, competitive rates become available. You will receive an official opt-out letter in the mail before any new program begins. If you have questions, please contact Valerie Bluhm at 419-491-1040.
