We’re proud to recognize eight outstanding students who have been nominated by their teachers for exemplifying the "Resilient" trait of our Portrait of a Titan!

An example of quiet strength, Emmett Bess shows up every day with a positive attitude that doesn't waver when things get tough. He has a way of handling obstacles with a calm spirit that shows he’s ready for whatever comes his way.

Austin Fields has made impressive strides in his resilience by bravely stepping out of his comfort zone to try new things. He gives every challenge his full effort and has developed the impressive ability to bounce back from setbacks faster each time.

As an example of perseverance, Stephenie Lilley refuses to give up on a task, no matter how difficult it seems. Her determination to see things through sets a wonderful example for her peers to follow.

Dhruvi Patel showed remarkable resilience as she navigated moving to a new country and mastering a new language at the same time. In just two years, her ability to adapt has turned her into a confident leader within her fifth-grade class.

Bryer Alexander shows what it means to be resilient by pouring his heart into every assignment and staying kind and respectful, no matter the challenge. His steady work ethic and supportive nature prove that staying positive while working hard is the ultimate way to succeed.

Coming into a new school environment, Claire Nott showed incredible resilience by working hard to build new friendships and adapt to a different way of learning. She goes above and beyond in everything she does, using her friendly attitude and strong effort to lift up those around her while she reaches her own goals.

Jade Bales exemplifies what resilience looks like by putting her energy into her talents and refusing to let physical hurdles get in the way. Her growth mindset enables her to achieve her goals and motivates others to stay positive and push limits.

By showing up every day with a positive spirit and a genuine desire to do her best, Kaydence Dawson transforms tough situations into successes. Her constant determination to grow and thrive is a true example of resilience that inspires everyone around her.

We’re proud to recognize eight outstanding students who have been nominated by their teachers for exemplifying the "Effective Communicator" trait of our Portrait of a Titan! Join us in celebrating these outstanding Titan communicators!

Triway Elementary School:
Whether participating in class or working with others, Kendalynn Baker communicates with clarity and confidence. She is a patient friend who listens closely to her classmates and always uses kind words to cheer them on.

Tyson Graham is a superstar communicator who uses excellent eye contact and active listening to make everyone he speaks with feel truly heard. He shows remarkable maturity for a second grader by consistently inviting others into the conversation and ensuring no one is left out.

By sharing his ideas with clarity, respect, and kindness, Nolan Lorenzetti is a shining example of a mindful communicator. He is a fantastic listener who makes sure to truly understand what his teachers and friends are saying before sharing his own helpful responses.

Esmae Thomas is a thoughtful communicator who makes her teammates feel valued by listening closely to their thoughts before adding her own. She has a special talent for bringing everyone’s ideas together, showing a level of kindness and teamwork that is truly a treasure.

Triway Middle School:
As a confident communicator, Morghan Lester leads our class by actively sharing her ideas and participating in discussions. She uses her voice to encourage her peers, helping everyone feel motivated to do their very best.

With his confident voice and clear ideas, Owen Hemming is an impressive communicator who has earned the respect of all his peers. His ability to lead and encourage others through his strong speaking skills makes him a true joy to have in class.

Triway High School:
Bryce Meade is an effective communicator who confidently shares his ideas and answers questions with great clarity. He often helps his peers by breaking down complex problems into simpler terms, making the material easier for everyone to understand.

As a proactive communicator, Amelia Moorman always stays ahead of her schedule and seeks clarification to ensure she fully understands the expectations. She shows maturity in her ability to articulate the reasoning behind her decisions, helping others clearly understand her thought process.

We’re proud to recognize eight outstanding students who have been nominated by their teachers for exemplifying the "Leader" trait of our Portrait of a Titan! Join us in celebrating these outstanding Titan leaders!

Triway Elementary:
Lilyen Hendrix is respectful, courageous, and kind every single day here at school. She is a responsible leader and is always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

A true role model, Dax Cline leads with integrity. He consistently makes the right choices, supports his friends, and acts honorably, regardless of supervision. Dax's positive energy is infectious, making him a reliable and fun presence in our class.

Maddie Conrad leads by example and shows what it means to have empathy and commitment to not only her goals, but the goals set forth by her team members.

Connor Stepan always has a good attitude and leads by example. He is thoughtful and ready to tackle new challenges.

Triway Middle School:
Mason Massaro can be quiet at times, but is confident. He is confident to share answers and is able to do so in a concise and clear way that his classmates can relate to. Mason is great when collaborating with classmates on projects or discussions.

Brittney Nolletti is compassionate towards other students and willing to help others when needed. She takes time to explain math to students who may not grasp the concepts as quickly. Brittney is also a leader by not having high highs or low lows, but instead is just consistent.

Triway High School:
Lexi Long has shown remarkable growth, establishing herself as a quiet but highly effective leader who inspires peers through action rather than words. Her success in tennis, enthusiastic participation in the band, and frequent contributions in class make her a visible and positive role model for all students.

Richard Spigelmire is a dedicated leader and a positive influence who sets a high standard by taking his responsibilities seriously and leading by example. He exhibits a commitment to personal development, viewing his ability to lead others as a continuous, lifelong journey of growth.

The Triway High School Drama Department is thrilled to announce its upcoming production of the comedy "You Can't Take It With You," in the beautiful Triway Performing Arts Center.

🌟 April Difference Makers Spotlight! 🌟

We’re proud to recognize eight outstanding students who have been nominated by their teachers for exemplifying the "Innovative" trait of our Portrait of a Titan! These students show curiosity, creativity, and a passion for problem-solving that inspires those around them. Let’s celebrate their incredible imagination and innovative spirit!

Wooster Township Elementary

Haisley Shriver (Grade 2): Haisley is a bright and imaginative student who brings a spark of creativity to the classroom. Whether she's coming up with unique solutions to problems or adding a fun twist to something she is making in art, her innovation is always inspiring. She loves exploring new ideas, and her enthusiasm is contagious, making her a joy to teach.

Logan Grosjean (Grade 1): Logan approaches STEAM challenges with curiosity and enthusiasm! Logan enjoys working with classmates to find a solution that will incorporate everyone's ideas. When faced with a difficult challenge, Logan is persistent and seeks out unconventional solutions, demonstrating true innovation for a first-grade student.

Shreve Elementary

Athena-Lynn Blackburn (Grade 3): Athena is very good at coming up with original and creative ideas to incorporate into her artwork. She is always ready to face any artistic challenge with multiple solutions and is not afraid to take a risk. Athena is innovative by trying new methods that make her creativity shine.

Jase Cottrell (Grade 4): Jase is always problem-solving and looking for alternative solutions when building projects in STEAM class. He is creative and never satisfied with his work until he has exhausted all possible options at making his STEAM projects better. Jase is highly innovative and consistently pushes his creativity to the limits.

Triway Middle School

Madison Leeper (Grade 6): Madison is a very inquisitive student and always approaches problems in creative ways. Her projects are innovative because of her imaginative stories and designs.

Brahm Johnson (Grade 6): Brahm demonstrates the characteristics of innovation because he always thinks outside the box. He asks thoughtful questions, showing that he is deeply engaged and trying to understand the content at a meaningful level. Brahm is also helpful and cares about others.

Triway High School

Zach George (Grade 12): Zach's innovative drive and exceptional problem-solving skills are evident in all his endeavors. His ability to think creatively and overcome complex challenges has made him an invaluable asset to the robotics team for three years. Currently, he's independently designing and testing a desalination capstone project, showcasing his advanced engineering capabilities.

Charlotte Seymour (Grade 11): Charlotte excels at creative problem-solving, a trait particularly evident in her art. She approaches new skill sets with innovation and resilience, embracing imperfections as learning opportunities. Her patient and thoughtful process results in work that truly showcases her talent and dedication.

"Shreve Elementary in Shreve, Ohio, has been selected as a 2025 national finalist in the 3rd annual elementary school creativity contest presented by Jersey Mike’s Subs and the Harlem Globetrotters. Known as the Court of Creativity, the nationwide competition invites elementary students to showcase their talents through basketball-themed projects inspired by the world-famous Globetrotters.
Shreve Elementary Named National Finalist in Harlem Globetrotters Contest
As one of 10 finalists selected by a panel of judges, Shreve Elementary will receive a $1,000 cash prize from Jersey Mike’s Subs. One grand prize-winning school will also be selected to receive a visit from the Harlem Globetrotters before the end of the 2024–25 school year.
Shreve’s submission was a student-led video project, created by two passionate fifth graders with a love for basketball and storytelling. The video highlights how students across various grade levels were inspired by the Harlem Globetrotters and March Madness to explore reading, research, poetry, and more. It’s a creative celebration of literacy and basketball, driven by students’ energy and imagination. To view the school’s submission, click HERE.
This year’s Top 10 Finalists showcased an extraordinary blend of creativity and education, ranging from basketball-themed STEM experiments and custom jersey designs to original videos, trick shots, and full-scale classroom productions. Students nationwide applied their creativity in subjects like math and science principles, explored themes like perseverance and teamwork, and brought characters like school mascots to life." - Local Sports Ohio

The Court of Creativity inspired elementary students across the country to share how basketball inspires them. Here are the top 10 finalists from Jersey Mike's Court of Creativity in partnership with the Harlem Globetrotters. What school will win a grand prize visit from the Harlem Globetrotters?
