Today is International Firefighters' Day - a moment to recognize the men and women who run toward danger so the rest of us don't have to.

Wayne County is fortunate to have exceptional fire departments serving our communities, and we mean it when we say they are extraordinary. Career and volunteer alike, they show up every single day with skill, dedication, and heart.

Thank you to every firefighter in Wayne County. We are proud to work alongside you.
