🏆 Congratulations to the Woonsocket Little League Minor Division Champions, the Woonsocket Firefighters Local 732 Blue Jays!

A special congratulations to one of the coaches, our very own Captain Scott Hampson, for leading this outstanding group of young athletes to a championship season.

The members of Woonsocket Firefighters Local 732 are proud to give back to our community by using a portion of our union dues to sponsor this team. Supporting our youth and investing in the future of Woonsocket is something we take great pride in.

Today, technical rescue teams from local departments met at the Blackstone River Gorge in North Smithfield to train on wide area search and high angle rescue.

Members will be participating in the annual Special Olympics Torch Run tomorrow, Friday May 29th. Please use caution in the area.

🗓Tomorrow-Friday, May 29th🗓

The annual Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Rhode Island will be taking place across the State.

Please note that the Woonsocket leg (Woonsocket ->the Statehouse) begins at ⏰️9:30 a.m. The runners are expected to reach Cumberland in the area of Mendon Road at Rt. 99 at approximately 9:57 a.m. and will continue South on Mendon Road to the Lincoln line (Ann & Hope Way). *Expected arrival time is 11:22 a.m.*

⚠️Please note that there will be traffic delays as the runners make their way through town. Please plan accordingly.

Thank you to Landmark Medical Center for providing our members with lunch from Kay's Restaurant and treats in honor of EMS week. We appreciate your thoughtfulness and enjoyed the sandwiches from one of the best restaurants in the area.
