Lion and former District Officer Ken Jobe (and Pct 2 J.P.) installed the Woodville Lions 2026-27 officers and led in the passing of the gavel to incoming President Danielle Stevens at their Friday evening installation dinner, May 8 at the Lions Den. For the first time in Woodville Lions history a wife succeeded a husband as president. Pictured are (L-R) Ken Weaver, Randy Carter, Chuck Anderson, Connie Gibson, Jobe, Janay Yancey, DeAndre Grant, and Stevens. Other incoming officers included Anthony Machac, James Stevens, Steve Evans, Qwynne Wiegand, and Ronnie Pryor.
Out-going Lions President James Stevens gave dual awards for "Lion of the Year" to Doug Hughes (and Pct 2 Commissioner) and Chuck Anderson for exemplary service to the Lions Club and other in the county during the previous club year. Pictured are (L-R) Hughes, Anderson, and Stevens.
With great pleasure, in-coming Woodville Lions President Danielle Stevens presided over the transition and vesting of Woodville Lions Club Sweetheart, from out-going Carlie Risinger and to in-coming Karson Weaver. Risinger gave a hearty thanks for her year and the honor of being a part of the club with her father, Michael Risinger, beaming. Weaver thanked all for the honor and affectionately recalled the years of her grandfather, Ken Weaver, serving as a Lion since she was a child, even all of her life, her grandfather having the distinction of being the most senior past president present, having served as president in 1982 over 40 years ago. The incoming Lions Sweetheart is given a gift card at the banquet and a scholarship grant during the school presentations. Pictured are (L-R) Weaver, Risinger, and Stevens.
