This morning, members of Woodsville Ambulance and our mutual aid partners gathered at the station for an EMS Week breakfast. We had a great turn out and a fantastic meal. It’s not often that many of us get to gather together at a slow non-emergent pace and spend time together eating and talking.

We would like to thank the crew of staff that worked hard to prep, cook and clean for today.

We would also like to thank:
-Katrina / PKK Custom Printing for the donation of these comfy blankets for staff members.
-Jamie Lynn’s Kitchen for the donation of potatoes and sausage.
-Pete & Gerry’s for all of the eggs.

A word from Renzo Chumbes, Director.

I am proud of the dedication of our team members who go above and beyond the daily shift duties. The patient care our team members provide are outstanding and we are always looking at ways on how we can improve the patient care we provide. We thank the past and present members who have shaped Woodsville Ambulance into what it is today!

We wish you a happy and safe EMS Week!

🚨 Public Service Announcement – Haverhill, NH 🚨

Tomorrow morning, Woodsville High School will be hosting a Mock Crash event to educate students about the dangers and real-life consequences of impaired and distracted driving.

This important training exercise will involve multiple emergency agencies, including:
• Haverhill Police Department
• Woodsville Fire Department
• Woodsville Ambulance
• DHART (Dartmouth Hitchcock Advanced Response Team) as long as they are not busy transporting patients
• Grafton County Sheriff’s Office
• Ricker Funeral Home

🚁 What to Expect:
Residents should be aware of a heavy presence of emergency vehicles and a helicopter in the Woodsville area during the morning hours.

⚠️ Please Note: This is only a drill. There is no cause for alarm.

Thank you for your understanding as we work together to promote safety and awareness for our community’s youth.

This week, area providers had a really fantastic training opportunity.
Robin and Heather from New Hampshire Department of Safety Division of Fire Standards and Training & Emergency Medical Services. Came north to give a classroom lecture as well as hands on scenario training on “The Subtle Symptoms of Cerebellar Stroke”

This was great in depth training on signs, symptoms and treatment for a type of stroke that may present differently than the typical/ most common indicators of a stroke.

Last evening we hosted a CPR First Aid class for the Grafton County Sheriffs. Throughout the country Police and EMS teams work closely together, and often. We respond to medical calls, welfare checks, lift assists, simultaneous calls, motor vehicle accidents, CPR in progress, mountain rescue and many others types of calls. We also appreciate the response of the police force when the safety of our EMS providers are at risk.
Keep up the good work!
