We’ve officially entered the “ber” months, even if it certainly doesn’t feel like it outside. Mother Nature is still holding onto those 90° temperatures this week, but that hasn’t stopped us from getting into the Turkey Trot spirit!

We're proud to announce that the Shenandoah Community Foundation has awarded $65,000 in Community Grants to 28 organizations serving Shenandoah County during the 2026 grant cycle.

These grants support a wide range of programs and services that strengthen our community and improve quality of life for those who live, work, and visit Shenandoah County.

📣 UPDATE: You all work fast! ❤️

Thanks to the quick response to our first post, our Empty Bowl flower-arranging crew is officially FILLED! 🌼🥫 But there are still plenty of ways to be part of this year’s Empty Bowl!

🧁 Love to bake—or just make a really great dessert? We’re looking for sweet treats for our Dessert Raffle.

🥫 Love eating soup? Save those empty Campbell’s soup cans! We’ll be turning them into our floral centerpieces for the event.

🙌 Want to lend a hand? We still have opportunities to help with event set-up and clean-up.

🎁 Business owner, crafter or artisan? Our Silent Auction is getting a little refresh this year! We’re creating a smaller, thoughtfully curated auction with themed baskets and a few special stand-alone items. We’d love to feature something from your business, shop or studio!

Leftovers from our People’s Choice contest have been donated locally to Family Promise of Shenandoah County, Community Clinic Food Pantry, and Emmanuel Episcopal Church's Food Pantry.

Thanks to the teams who volunteered to cook the extra donated pork!
