Our Education Station will be open this weekend. Stop by to explore, ask questions and learn something new!

Our friendly rangers and volunteers are ready with maps, trail info and cool facts about the park's history, plants and wildlife.

🎣 Love fly fishing and competition? Nearby Shenandoah River State Park is hosting the South Fork Fly Fishing Tournament.

🏆 There are six prize categories, and the overall champion will win a trophy, a sponsor fly rod or premium gear, a two-night cabin stay and a Downriver rental/shuttle package.

📅 May 30, 6:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Competition guidelines
🔹Smallmouth bass fly fishing competition
🔹Open to ages 10 and up
🔹Standard Virginia fishing regulations apply
🔹Rain or shine
🔹Must use park-designated access points only
🔹All catch photos must follow guidelines

Registration fees
🔹Adults: $50
🔹Children (10-15): $25

🌳 Celebrate National Kids to Parks Day with us! Stop by the Education Station to learn and explore with a ranger. Visitors can make a nature craft, touch real animal pelts and find out how to become a Junior Ranger.

🌄 We're hosting a volunteer work day focused on refreshing the Rivers Way Play Space.

We’ll be adding mulch and gravel, sealing wooden features for the season, mending rubber walls and repairing stump seating. All tools, water and safety gear will be provided. ⚒️
