Short and sweet...and close to the parking area along #120! We left some buckthorn here last year as the old neighbor wasn't very friendly or positive to our efforts! But the new folk love us and our efforts. Every workday we walk past here...and those buckthorn kept laughing at us. Hah! we go the last laugh...

This page celebrates the Wolf Oak, a 300-350 year old bur oak, the ongoing restoration efforts by volunteers and their supporters. We also welcome posts/pictures/stories of other oaks that you know and love. It’s all about oaks! Located on the 30 acre Wolf Oak Preserve at the Clark Farm, owned by @The Land Conservancy of McHenry Co. On IL Rte 120, between Greenwood and Thompson roads, in McHenry Co. IL.
