Today, on Women Veterans Day, the McHenry County Veterans Assistance Commission proudly recognizes and honors the women who have served our nation with strength, courage, and dedication.
We are especially proud to recognize the female Veteran Advocates of the McHenry County VAC who continue their service long after taking off the uniform. Through advocacy, compassion, and unwavering commitment, they help fellow veterans and their families navigate challenges, access earned benefits, and find hope and support within our community.

Women veterans have always answered the call to serve — breaking barriers, leading from the front, and strengthening our military and communities. Today, we celebrate not only their military service, but also the impact they continue to make every single day here in McHenry County.

To all women veterans: thank you for your sacrifice, your resilience, and your continued leadership. The McHenry County VAC is honored to serve alongside you and for you.
