As we continue our study in Romans, we get very practical about how Christ-followers benefit from the Holy Spirit's help. We'll see that tomorrow in chapter eight. Here are the notes for our study.

Paul's letter to the church in Rome builds from chapter to chapter. Romans 6: Sin is no longer our master. Romans 7: Sin is still in our nature and the struggle with it is REAL! We will unpack this important chapter tomorrow and point toward the solution in Romans 8. Here are the notes.

The first few chapters of Romans describe humanity's sin problem in great detail. Those very heavy verses set the stage for the wonderful changes described in Romans 5 for followers of Christ. Here are the notes for our study.

In school did you breathe a sigh of relief if the teacher announced the grade would be "on a curve?" Many of us did! When it comes to God's perfect standard of righteousness, He does NOT show partiality or shift the standard based on human performance. He does NOT grade on a curve. Thankfully, Jesus solved that problem for those who have trusted Him. Here are our notes for our brief study in Romans 2.

Why is it usually easier to see what’s wrong with somebody else than to see what’s wrong with ourselves? The fact is everyone is a sinner in need of a Savior. The gospel is God’s powerful prescription for humanity’s sin problem. Here are the notes for our study in Romans 1.

Tomorrow we will finish our two-part study in the book of Ruth. This little book teaches us a lot about doing the right things and trusting God for the best outcome. It also points us to Christ as our Redeemer. Here are the notes for our study.

We all know the jokes, "The calories don't count if..." Truth is we cannot defy the law of cause and effect. Donuts have calories; sin has consequences; but followers of Christ have CHOICES. We'll talk about that tomorrow in Judges 16. Here are the notes for our study:

It's tempting to find security in the things we can touch and feel but the life of the Christ-follower is about trusting God more than anyone or anything. Tomorrow as we wrap up our study of Gideon in Judges 7 we will be reminded of where our trust belongs. Here are the notes for our study.

When God calls you to a task do you struggle with feeling ill equipped to accomplish it? That maybe you are "not enough?" Praise God, He IS enough and if He calls us He will equip us for His purposes, our good, and His glory. We'll look at that in Judges 6. Here are the notes for our study.
