Be sure to check out our Instagram page as well. The Woodstock Fire Department was founded in 1820, relying solely on brave volunteers. The Woodstock Ambulance Service followed 155 years later, in 1975. Over the two centuries since it’s founding, Woodstock Fire/EMS has developed into what is now a combination department, currently staffed by 10 full time professional firefighters and emergency med

ical service personnel. It is augmented by highly trained and skilled call staff, all of whom are dedicated to the proposition of saving lives and property. As of February 2021, the Woodstock Firefighters Association IAFF Local 5323, was proudly established. Our union is currently made up of 8 members who provide emergency response 24/7 to the Town of Woodstock, as well as emergency medical services to the surrounding towns of Bridgewater, Hartland, Plymouth, and Pomfret. We are regularly called upon to provide mutual aid outside of our initial coverage area, including Hartford, Reading, Killington, South Royalton, and Lebanon NH. This page is run by the Woodstock Firefighters L5323 and has no affiliation with the Town of Woodstock.

D shift members took some time today in between running calls for some driver training for FF/Medic Amos-Scheuer.

Per diem Amos-Scheuer fills shifts whenever needed and comes to Woodstock Fire with 14 years of fire service experience.

At 17:07 hours, Woodstock Fire was dispatched mutual aid to Hartland for a multiple alarm fire.

Woodstock Fire was dispatched at 15:56 hours for a two car MVA with entrapment.

Upon arrival to the scene, the first arriving unit found an SUV on its side, another motor vehicle with damage to the rear quarter.

Further investigation found that the two occupants had extricated the vehicle prior to fire personnel arrival. Subsequent assessments found the patients to be physically unharmed.

Simultaneously, a second medical call was toned for an elderly female, fallen with a head injury.
