Monday, April 6 is the last day to update your voter information or to register to vote for the May 5, 2026 Primary election.

The office will be open 9AM to 9PM Monday or visit VoteOhio.gov.

Early voting begins Tuesday, April 7.

Democratic Director/Deputy Director Position

The Monroe County Board of Elections is currently accepting resumes for the full-time position of Democratic Director/Deputy Director at its office located at 117 N Main St, Suite 12, Woodsfield. The deadline to apply is March 9, 2026.

Potential candidates must be:
• a registered voter in Monroe County, Ohio (or be willing to relocate and register within 30 days of appointment),
• must be affiliated with the Democratic party (if unaffiliated with a political party, be willing to vote a Democratic ballot in the May primary)
• and must pass a criminal background check.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; college education is preferred.
• Experience and skills required:
o strong organizational skills and attention to detail,
o familiarity with budgeting and public fund appropriation,
o ability to comprehend and interpret a variety of documents,
o professional and courteous demeanor at all times,
o strong computer skills,
o and willingness and availability to work extended hours as directed by the Secretary of State and Board of Elections requirements.
