In partnership with families and community, Woodridge 68โ€™s continuing goal is to inspire education and innovation within its students, preparing them to be responsible members of the community and society. Woodridge School District 68 developed an Academic Transformation Plan that focuses on individual student growth and preparing students to be college and career ready. This comprehensive plan was developed in line with the districtโ€™s strategic goals to ensure that all students achieve their social, emotional, and academic potential and serves as the focus for district activities. The Academic Transformation Plan is a model of continuous improvement, driving all decisions around district programs and policies. This model allows for complete alignment of the strategic goals and ongoing objectives throughout the district and schools.

๐ŸฅŽ๐Ÿ† REGIONAL CHAMPIONS! ๐Ÿ†๐ŸฅŽ

Congratulations to the Thomas Jefferson Junior High School girls softball team, who captured the regional championship this weekend with a win over Eisenhower Junior High! ๐ŸŽ‰

The championship came with another reason to celebrate as pitcher Mia Gory recorded her 100th strikeoutโ€”a fantastic milestone!

Congratulations to Mia, Coach Leslie Dehn, and the entire team on an outstanding accomplishment. And theyโ€™re not done yet! The Wolverines advance to the sectional final against Barrington tomorrow (Tuesday) in Barrington.

Meet Kathryn Brennan, a 5th Grade Teacher at Goodrich Elementary School!

Katie's favorite subject growing up was Math, and today she enjoys helping students build confidence and a love of learning every day.

When asked what she likes most about working at Woodridge 68, Katie says it's the people. From students and families to fellow educators and friends, she believes Woodridge 68 is filled with the very best. ๐Ÿ’™

Outside of school, Katie enjoys reading and watching her kids participate in the activities they love. ๐Ÿ“š

Meet Chloe Dawson, a new fourth grade teacher at William F Murphy Elementary School!

Chloe attended the University of Iowa, and reading and writing were her favorite subjects growing up. This year, sheโ€™s looking forward to building relationships with her students and colleagues and making a positive impact on her studentsโ€™ learning.

Outside of school, Chloe enjoys spending time with family and friends and trying out new coffee shops. โ˜• Sheโ€™s also a Cubs and Bears fan! โšพ๐Ÿˆ

Meet Ashley Humphrey, a new early childhood teacher at Edgewood Elementary School!

Ashley attended National Louis University, and math was her favorite subject growing up. Sheโ€™s looking forward to forming new relationships and connections throughout the school year.

When she has some spare time, Ashley enjoys gardening, baking and catching up on sleep. Sheโ€™s also a fan of Sudoku! ๐Ÿงฉ

Ashley already knows Woodridge 68 from the family side of things as the parent of a Woodridge 68 student. Now weโ€™re excited to welcome her in a new role as a member of the Edgewood staff!
