Yolo County ACE - Assessor/Clerk-Recorder/Elections Yolo County ACE is the integrated department of the Assessor/Clerk-Recorder/Elections. This is a moderated online discussion site and not a public forum.

The purpose of this site is to communicate matters of public interest in Yolo County related to

On September 8, 2026, Yolo County Assessor/Clerk-Recorder/Registrar of Voters Jesse Salinas accepted the resolution proclaiming September 14–18, 2026, as Disability Voting Rights Week in Yolo County. Yolo County Voting Accessibility Advisory Committee (VAAC) Chair Kate Laddish also accepted the resolution on behalf of the committee.

Supervisor Lucas Frerichs presented the resolution and supported bringing it before the Yolo County Board of Supervisors for consideration and adoption. This proclamation recognizes the importance of ensuring that all eligible voters, including voters with disabilities, have equal access to the electoral process and the opportunity to participate fully in our democracy.

The nomination period for the following offices on the ballot for the November 3, 2026, General Election has been extended until Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. for contests where an eligible incumbent did not file their nomination papers by the end of the nomination period at 5:00 p.m. Friday, August 7, 2026. The nomination period extension is only applicable to candidates other than the incumbent.

On Friday, August 7th, 2026, the Yolo County Elections Office hosted a Swearing-In Ceremony for Melinda Aiello, District Attorney of Yolo County, in the Atrium of the Yolo County Administration Building in Woodland.

Jesse Salinas, Yolo County Assessor/Clerk-Recorder and Registrar of Voters, opened the ceremony with welcoming remarks and congratulated District Attorney Aiello on this important milestone.

The ceremony was attended by members of the public, colleagues, community members, and distinguished Yolo County leaders who gathered to celebrate and welcome the newly sworn-in District Attorney.

Are you bilingual? We especially encourage you to apply! Your language skills can help ensure every voter receives assistance in the language they feel most comfortable using.

Yolo County Elections Office will hold a randomized alphabet drawing at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 13, 2026, to determine the order in which candidates' names appear on the November 3, 2026, General Election ballot.
The drawing for candidates running for Member of the State Assembly, District 4 will be conducted at the Yolo County Elections Office at 625 Court Street, Room B05, Woodland, CA 95695.
