Electra Fire Update

• 4478 acres grass and brush, 85% contained
• Cooperator meetings were discontinued today with anticipation
of Base Camp closure by Tuesday July 12th

• AFPD OES Engine 4309 was demobilized today leaving just Water
Tender 5116 still assigned to the incident
• Dumpsters will be dropped off tomorrow in previously evacuated
areas to assist residents who need to discard spoiled food and
household trash and the Red Cross Shelter will close. Animal
shelter volunteers are working on reuniting all animals with their
owners.

• Continued demobilization of resources
• Resources continue with mop-up operations to establish full
containment

• Power restoration has been completed

• Continued threat to structures, critical infrastructure, endangered
species, and watershed
• Evacuation orders have been lifted, evacuation warnings remain in
place

• Repopulation plan ongoing

• All road closures lifted
• Minimal fire behavior observed
• Resources continue with mop-up operations to establish full
containment

• Suppression repair is underway
• One more AFPD Water Tender demobilized from incident. One
Water Tender and OES Engine and crews remain committed.

07/09/2022 2pm - Evacuation Update

The Amador County Sheriff's Office is removing the road closures located at Clinton Bar Rd and Gold Strike Rd. This area is also being reduced from an evacuation order to a warning zone. There are no longer any road closures within Amador County and the only mandatory evacuation order area is within the fire scar.

The warning area south of Hwy 88 and Hwy 26 running east from French Gulch Rd to the Calaveras County line has been removed.

Additionally, on Monday (07/11/22) the Sheriff's Office will have six dumpsters dropped off within the previous evacuation areas for residents to discard trash and spoiled goods. Per PG&E, all power to residences impacted by the Electra Fire has been restored.

Electra Fire Update

4,428 acres, 65% containment with 2178 personnel assigned to the incident.

However, release of equipment and personnel has begun. Today our (2) type 1 structure protection engines and crews, who have been assigned to the incident since initial attack on July 4th are scheduled for demobilization today.

The return of those personnel will help with our daily staffing in County. Our (2) Water Type 1 Tenders and our OES Type 3 wildland engine will remain committed and assigned to the incident.

We are expecting an announcement today regarding more repopulation and power restoration with full repopulation anticipated this weekend.

There are plans for additional backfiring operations and helicopters operating tonight.

Additionally, plans for more repopulation this evening and release of some equipment and personnel for the incident as early as tomorrow. No formal announcements yet.

Furthermore, there is a new vegetation fire in Truckee prompting evacuation orders.

The Amador County Sheriff’s Office is removing the road closure at the intersection of Lower Clinton Road and Butte Mountain Road. The new road closure will be moved to the Upper Clinton Road and Butte Mountain intersection. All residents along Clinton Road and Butte Mountain Road within this area are clear to return home. The evacuation order for this area has been reduced to a warning.
The warning zone running east from Jackson, along Hwy 88 to Previtali Road has been removed.
All existing evacuation warnings and orders not mentioned above remain in effect.
