@💨🌧️ WIND ADVISORY — WEEKEND STORM UPDATE

The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory for Woodland Park from 2 p.m. today through 6 a.m. Sunday.

North winds of 20–25 mph, with gusts potentially reaching 55 mph, may bring down tree limbs and power lines and cause scattered outages. Approximately 1–3 inches of rain remains possible, primarily tonight through Saturday night.

Residents should secure outdoor furniture, decorations and other loose objects; charge essential devices; and use caution while driving. Never approach a downed wire—always assume it is energized and stay at least 30 feet away.

Report outages through the PSE&G app, at pseg.com/outagecenter⁠, by texting OUT to 47734, or by calling 1-800-436-PSEG (7734).

The Borough will continue monitoring conditions and provide updates as necessary.

🌧️ POTENTIAL WEEKEND STORM: STAY PREPARED

The Borough of Woodland Park is monitoring a developing storm system that may bring periods of rain and gusty northeasterly winds to our area over the next several days.

The storm’s exact track remains uncertain and will determine the level of impact to inland areas, including Passaic County. At this time, residents should prepare for gusty winds, rainfall and the possibility of isolated power outages. The storm is expected to make its closest pass sometime Sunday.

PSE&G has activated its storm-response plan and positioned additional crews and resources throughout its service territory.

Residents are encouraged to:

• Charge cell phones and essential devices
• Keep flashlights and fresh batteries available
• Secure outdoor furniture, umbrellas, grills and other loose items
• Have a backup plan for electrically powered medical equipment
• Use generators outdoors only, away from windows, doors and vents

⚠️ Never approach a downed power line. Always assume it is energized, remain at least 30 feet away and report it immediately.

🚧 PAVING NOTICE 🚧

Please be advised of the following paving schedule:

• Monday afternoon: Lackawanna Avenue
• Tuesday and Wednesday: R***e Camp Road, beginning near the roundabout and proceeding north

Motorists should anticipate traffic delays, temporary access restrictions and possible detours in these areas. Please allow additional travel time and follow all posted traffic directions.

🎉 It’s Woodland Park Day! 🎉 (PLEASE SHARE)

Come on down today from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and enjoy an afternoon of food, vendors, activities, community fun, and more. Bring your family and friends and celebrate Woodland Park Day 2026 with us!

As a reminder, residents should expect increased pedestrian and vehicle activity along McBride Avenue throughout the day. Please use extra caution, anticipate delays, and follow all posted traffic directions. (Memorial Drive will be the only road closure)

Our fireworks celebration is scheduled for approximately 8:15 PM. Residents should expect loud booms and bangs throughout the borough during the display, so please plan accordingly for young children, pets, and anyone sensitive to loud noises.

🚧 CONSTRUCTION ALERT — WOODLAND PARK 🚧

Please be advised that roadway milling and paving is scheduled for the following locations:

📍 R***e Camp Road — between Notch Road and Hazel Street
📍 Lackawanna Avenue — between Lower Notch Road and Wedgewood Drive

🔨 Milling Operations: Week of September 14
🛣️ Paving Operations: Week of September 21

Alternating traffic patterns and/or detours will be maintained as necessary. Motorists should expect delays and allow additional travel time.

Please remain alert for construction vehicles and equipment, use caution for the safety of roadway workers, and follow all posted signs and temporary traffic patterns.

All work is weather permitting and subject to change.
