It's with a heavy heart that the Men and Women of the Woodland Park American Legion Post 238 announce the passing of our brother, Jack Wagniere. Quick with a warm smile and an attentive ear, our visit with him on our rucks (and elsewhere) was the highlight of any day. Our hearts and prayers go out to Jackie, Erik, Ethan, and Cameron. As one big extended family, we love you and will be there to support your family in this difficult time.

Services for Jack are at Santangelo's Funeral Home, located at 635 McBride Avenue, Woodland Park, NJ 07424. Thursday from 4-8pm and Friday at 10:30 am.

These men were the embodiment of it. In the face of a world unrecognizable from the home they left, and from the world we enjoy today. They said in no uncertain terms. “Not one more inch” and through their gallantry, they paved the way that clawed the free world from the abyss.

81 years ago. 1 lifetime. Many lives.

Today the Men and Women of Post 238 and their Auxiliary remember D-Day.

Live in a way so that their sacrifices were not in vain.

🆘 Community Call to Action!🆘

Dear friends and neighbors,

Our community is rallying to support two families who recently suffered a devastating fire, leaving them without their homes and belongings.

Borough Hall is organizing a collection to help these families rebuild during this challenging time.
We are seeking donations, including gift cards for grocery stores and pharmacies like Walgreens or CVS.

For the families in need:

Family 1:
- Men’s Large shirt
- Size 32 pants
- Women’s Large or XL shirt and pants
- 2-year-old clothing (24-month size)
- Size 6 diapers

Family 2:
- Men’s Medium shirt
- Size 34 pants
- Women’s Large shirt
- Medium shirt
- Size 32 pants

Additional Items Needed:
- Baby clothing and accessories (high chair, pack’n play)
- Shampoo and toiletries for all ages
- Towels

Any other essential items you can spare!

Every little bit helps and can make a world of difference for these families as they navigate this tough situation. Let’s show them the strength and compassion of our community!
