Twenty-five years ago, our nation experienced an unimaginable tragedy that forever changed us.

Today, we remember the victims of September 11, 2001, honor the heroes who ran toward danger, and recognize the resilience of the families and communities impacted by that day.

The spirit of unity and service that emerged in the aftermath of 9/11 continues to inspire organizations like Meals on Wheels North Jersey. Every day, we are reminded that small acts of kindness and care can strengthen communities and bring hope to those who need it most.

Since 2023, Christ Lutheran Church in Woodcliff Lake has been far more than our landlord. They have been a true partner in our mission, generously providing expanded office space at below-market rates and creating a welcoming home from which we can serve our clients. Their kindness, flexibility, and unwavering support extends far beyond our office walls. It touches every meal delivered, every wellness check made, and every senior who is able to remain independent with dignity.

For decades, Lee Tremble has been a familiar and beloved figure in the Pascack Valley. As a longtime Westwood resident and former owner of The Iron Horse Restaurant, many know him for his impact on the local community. What some may not know is that Lee has also dedicated countless years to supporting Meals on Wheels North Jersey as a volunteer, advocate, and friend.

His contributions extend far beyond meal delivery and are too numerous to capture in a single post. That's why we are proud to honor Lee at our Harvest Fundraising Gala on October 1 at Seasons Catering.

Our amazing volunteers are the fuel that powers Meals on Wheels North Jersey. And today we are celebrating volunteer, Joe Holloschutz who has always been ready, willing and able to answer the call in a pinch when another driver has a last minute emergency and can't drive their route. Joe delivers meals to our clients with a big smile and a warm heart. Thank you, Joe for being a Meals on Wheels superstar!
