CLIMB Concerned Long Island Mountain Bicyclists (CLIMB) Dedicated to the growth and enjoyment of mountain bicycling and responsible trail use on Long Island

With over 500 members CLIMB is one of the largest and most active regional Mountain Biking clubs in the US. Based on Long Island our membership represents all levels of riders from beginners to experts. Our common passion for trail riding and stewardship brings us together as a collective voice. CLIMB teaches volunteers how to design, build and maintain sustainable recreational mountain bicycle tr

ails. Despite shrinking municipal resources, our volunteer work force can enhance outdoor recreational opportunities in public parks.

Sunday May 31 join us at glacier ridge for a group ride at 10am or just ride the trails on your own then we’ll have a bbq in the parking lots east side. Bring a chair and something to share. Thanks to for sponsoring our rides. Remember that helmets and eye protection are required. You’re in charge of your own safety. Use the trails at your own risk. Mountain biking is an inherently risky activity.

Are you grateful for the privilege of riding trails? Someone put many hours of advocacy to get permission then many hours of building and maintaining the trails but also building and maintaining relationships. Where there is unity there are great opportunities for outdoor recreation. Are you a taker or a giver? Give thanks and take the pledge. Shared from our friends in Vermont where many trails are on private land.

It’s cooler on the south shore. The ocean breeze will keep the trails south of the expressway a bit more comfortable like this one at Edgewood Preserve. Keep it mellow during the heat and humidity.
