Main St North will be shut down for some time just north of #1754 for a tree across wires and the road. If youre coming from Watertown the only way around would be Hamilton Ave or Gurnseytown Rd depending on your destination.

Edit: power has been restored to the area and the traffic light as well as oir phones should all be working.

Just to give everyone a heads up. Power is out in some areas due to high winds and trees. This is especially true at the intersection of Route 6 and 317. The light at the intersection is out and as such it should be treated as a 4-way stop sign.
Also, the police department is currently experiencing a power outage and the back up generator is not kicking on. Our phones are down as a result. If you have an emergency please call 911 as this has not been affected. Any routine calls can be made to the Troop L barracks at 860-626-7900. We will try to update when power in this area is restored.

Community Matters: Restoring Independence ♿️💙
Several weeks ago, Officer John Covello learned that a resident in our Woodbury community was in urgent need of a wheelchair. Determined to help, Officer Covello located a pre-owned electric, battery-powered wheelchair that was in need of some mechanical love and new batteries.
The Woodbury Police Union was proud to step in and provide the necessary funding to fully refurbish the chair, ensuring it was safe, powered up, and ready for the road.
Recently, Officers Scott Flaton, Mark DeFeo, and John Covello had the honor of delivering the chair to its new home. To say she was overwhelmed with joy would be an understatement! We are so grateful for the opportunity to support our neighbors and help restore mobility and independence to a member of our Woodbury family.

During a routine patrol today, one of our officers was overtaken by a vehicle in a no-passing zone. The driver was subsequently stopped, and enforcement action was taken. We want to remind the community that our officers are actively monitoring for dangerous and aggressive traffic violations to ensure the safety of everyone on our roads.
The Woodbury Police Department wishes everyone a safe and happy weekend, and a very Happy Mother’s Day!
