Rescue Ink was a New York-based animal rescue group made up of heavily tattooed bikers, bodybuilders, and former military and law enforcement members. They looked more like a motorcycle gang than an animal welfare organization, but their mission was simple: protect animals from abuse and neglect.
The group investigated cruelty cases, confronted suspected abusers, and helped shut down illegal dog-fighting operations. Working alongside shelters and authorities, they rescued dogs, cats, horses, and other animals and helped get them somewhere safe.
Their unusual appearance and fearless approach eventually made them famous enough to inspire a National Geographic reality series, Rescue Ink Unleashed, which followed their rescue missions and investigations.
They may have looked intimidating, but the animals they protected knew exactly what they stood for. 🧡
