Woodbury Volunteer Fire Department Our mission is to deliver the highest degree of protection and safety to our community as possible. Neighbors Helping Neighbors.

The Woodbury Volunteer Fire Department was officially recognized on June 7, 1928. Prior to this date there were two fire department's, each providing fire protection in their "district". The Orenaug Fire Department covered the Main Street area while the Hotchkissville Fire Department covered the village of Hotchkissville. In 1927 the idea was brought forward that the two department's merge into one and form the town's fire department. A committee of three firefighters from each department met and worked out the ground work. In mid 1928 both the departments took a vote and the Woodbury Volunteer Fire Department was formed.

Thank You for Supporting the Woodbury Volunteer Fire Department Annual Firemen's Carnival

The Association of the Woodbury Volunteer Fire Department, along with all of our firefighters and their families, would like to extend our sincere gratitude for your support during this year's Annual Firemen's Carnival.

Your generous donations to the Community Raffle Basket helped make it even bigger and better than last year's. We are truly grateful to everyone who donated items, and we also want to thank everyone who purchased raffle tickets in support of this community effort.

A huge thank you goes out to everyone who attended the carnival and enjoyed the delicious food prepared by our firefighters. We would especially like to recognize Hocon Gas for generously donating all of the propane used to cook the mouthwatering food served throughout the event. Thank you, Hocon Gas!

We would also like to thank Aubuchon Ace Hardware for donating the gas grill that was raffled off. The lucky winner was a wonderful family from Woodlake, and we hope they enjoy it for years to come.

Special appreciation goes to Parks and Recreation for putting on a spectacular fireworks display, and to Public Works for assisting with the roadway to the parking area and keeping us a safe distance from the fireworks with the snow fence.

Events like this truly take a community effort. Without the support of our residents, town staff, Public Works, the Police Department, and so many others, we would not be able to make this event possible.

A very special shout-out goes to John Fuller, owner of several local radio stations, for his continued support of our department and Fireman Dave. This year, he generously donated not one, but two guitars that were raffled off during the carnival. Thank you, John, for your generosity and support.

The Firemen's Carnival brings our community together for fun, laughter, and lasting memories. It is a wonderful way to celebrate the end of summer, and none of it would be possible without your support.

Thank you again to everyone who attended, donated, volunteered, and helped make this year's carnival a success. We look forward to seeing you all around town!

Red Raffle Dinner Winners

Back by popular demand, the Red Raffle Dinner returns!

Two lucky families will be picked up in our "limousine" (a big, shiny red fire truck) and brought to the firehouse for a delicious home-cooked meal prepared by our local volunteer firefighters. They will enjoy a tour of the firehouse and apparatus before dessert is served. The evening concludes with another ride in our limo, which takes them home.

It is always a special and memorable night for these families.
